Read to Ride, Dependable Cleaners’ summer reading contest, has wrapped up its 20th season.
Our goal has been to encourage summertime reading in youngsters with an incentive of winning a bicycle and other prizes. This summer, 2,729 entries were received from the South Shore and Boston area. Eleven boys and girls received a new bicycle and many others won runner-up prizes.
Thank you to our sponsors, Bicycle Link in Weymouth, Farina’s Bicycle Center in Watertown, The Patriot Ledger, the libraries, teachers, South Shore YMCA and Greater Boston Boys & Girls for their support, and to the children who participated.
