Labor Day 2019
We can’t believe Labor Day is already here! Where did the summer go? If you’re like us, you know how important it is to spend time with your family before everyone heads back to school, so we’re here to make sure this weekend is one for the books!
Kick off Labor Day Weekend with an incredible fireworks show on Thursday at 8:30pm. Fireworks will be launched from two “dueling” barges anchored between the North End and Seaport, lighting up the sky over Boston Harbor.
Best places to watch the fireworks show: Christopher Columbus Park and Long Wharf in the North End, the South Boston Waterfront (especially around Fan Pier/Seaport), the Downtown Waterfront, and Piers Park in East Boston.
If you’re feeling artsy on Labor Day, check out free admission to Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in the Seaport District. From 10AM – 5PM, you can view their gallery exhibits free of charge and even contribute your own drawing to a collaborative art project.
Red sox games, concerts and shows round out this fun holiday weekend! Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Labor Day!
